TELACU Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program combines vital financial assistance with highly effective programs. The College Advisement and Leadership Program (CALP) is the key support system that ensures the academic success of Scholars through graduation and beyond. CALP provides skill-building seminars, counseling, peer mentoring and leadership development activities. Internships and mentoring relationships with corporate partners further equip and prepare our Scholars for their chosen careers.

The Program annually supports 500 TELACU Scholars in California, Illinois, Texas and New York. Low-income, first-generation college students may be eligible to apply for one of the scholarships listed below.

 
TELACU Scholarships/Special Awards
Qualified students enrolled at one of our partnering colleges and universities may apply for a one-year scholarship that can be renewed for up to four years. Additionally, Special Awards are awarded to outstanding students in the fields of engineering, science, the arts, leadership, business, education and the arts. See Application for Eligibility Criteria

Citi/TELACU Scholars Mentoring Program
Students interested in a bsuiness career receive scholarships and academic/career guidance from top-level Citi professionals. See Application for Eligibility Criteria
 
Toyota/TELACU Scholarship Program
Scholarships are awarded to students interested in business and/or engineering careers. Scholars also have the opportunity to engage with top-level Toyota executives. See Application for Eligibility Criteria
 
Wachovia/TELACU Excellence in Teaching Scholarship Program
Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a career in teaching or education. Scholars also gain firsthand experience through shadowing educational professionals.

Internships
Washington DC Internship Program 
A unique opportunity for TELACU Scholars to experience firsthand the political processes of our government while developing their leadership potential. 

Corporate and Non-Profit Sector Internship Program
TELACU Scholars can apply their classroom knowledge on the job and further develop their skills.
